My name is Bob Olivo I have been in the Tejano Music Scene since 1975. I have always had a great passion for Tejano Music.
I started as a sound engineer for my brothers band Eddie Olivo y Los impactos and later I was playing the bass guitar and singing with the band.
I also played with Los Fantasticos which was a 6 piece band which included Myself on Bass , Rufas Reza on guitar, Benjamin Valdez on drums, Bobby Romero on accordian, Juan Guerra and Lauro Sanchez on Vocals.
In 1986 I went on Air on WBGU in Bowling Green, Ohio
I moved to Houston, Texas In 1990 and became the Latin Music Buyer for Southwest Wholesale, the biggest distributor for Tejano Music in the country.
I also did a Tejano Oldie Show On Puro Tejano 100.7 FM with a very good friend of mine Homie Marco.
I also helped start "Mi Musica Oldies Show" and was on the Air with Dan Segura on 980 AM
In 2001 I started My Oldies Show "Pura Musica De Los 70'S and 80's" on BNetradio.com/tejano and have been there since.
I have written many Tejano Songs which include "La Inspiracion" recorded by David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales on the CD entitled Estamos Unidos, "Mi Pobre Corazon recorded by son AJ's godfather Javier Galvan Y Fama on the CD entitled Todo Por ti, and "Te Extrano" Recorded By One of my Favorite All Time Vocalist David Marez on his CD entitled Soy Tejano.
